Who we are

BKS Removals ("we", "us", "our") is a removals business based in St Kilda, VIC 3182, servicing the greater Melbourne area. This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use our website or request a quote.

What we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the suburbs you are moving from and to, your preferred moving date, the type of property and any notes about your move.

Like most websites, our hosting provider may also record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we collect it

We use your information to prepare and send your quote, plan and carry out your move, contact you about your booking and respond to your questions. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we will not send you marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host, our database provider and our email delivery provider. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia (for example in the United States). We choose reputable providers and only share what they need to provide their service.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Quote requests are sent over an encrypted connection and stored with access limited to our team. We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@bkservice.com.au or calling 0490 471 725. We will respond within a reasonable time.
